Wonderful strop, Mike! I expect Bill would feel the same...:tu
Amazing strop! That one looks great.
Working on an old heirloom, a Sears chainsaw from the 60's. Was my wife's grandad's.
Sharpened the chain too often and 14 inch bar was worn-out. Adjuster missing..
Spend money.....Hum...
Always was impressed with the torque of the motor.
Realized the last (as in LAST!) chainsaw loan was of a nice Shindaiwa to an employee who admitted burning up the bar and toasting the chain. We don't loan chainsaws, mowers, pressure washers, or trucks. We just DON'T! :rofl2:
Good guy. Went to H Depot and bought a 18 inch bar with chain and 2 extras. Oil and oil......
He bought a 3.50 bar and chain where the Shindiawa took a 3.25 pitch.
Found and drug that all out and fitted the Sears fine. Made an adjuster from an old wing-nut and a long screw and nuts.
Cleaned all up and put a new longer 15' cord on. Premix oil will get used on other stuff.
This thing will get some use, I reckon...

Nice old electric ripper Tom!
Like the old pistol grip yet. Bet it has some torque!
Working on an Imperial that has seen better days

Round point it?
That looks like an arborist type saw. It can be used one handed, but at the same time it looks a little large for that.
Dave that imperial does look like it has had some less than great times. I have seen you work and have complete faith that you will make it look the best it can look.
