1600s katana razor in progress. I cut the rough outline and carefully and painstakingly ground in primary hollows. With differentially hardened steel this is very tricky because the wheel alternates between wanting to dig into the soft steel and jumping over the hardened edge. And with this steel there are no do-overs so patience is the name of this game.
