The blade for the scales I made a while back are not ready for them yet. Being silly I thought I'd start my first restore with something real messed up in just so that any goofs wouldnt result in a decent blade being ruined by my ham fistedness. Seems I bit off more than I am ready to chew. So out of frustration I set it aside and started on this Norton I picked up. It was in good condition so basically just a clean up.
Here is the blade all cleaned up, not a perfect job but much better than before and good enough for a first try. Sorry no before pics, seems I misplaced them as well.

Now I'm all ready to put the original scales back on but in my sillyness I left the pins and collars somewhere so I cant do it tonight. Rather frustrated as I really hoped to hone it tonight and shave shave with this tomorrow. Hopefully tomorrow I can get them and see how well I do with the pinning. I suspect Murphy will rear his head again in some way or another
