Offers open for some laser inlay action of course Tom.
I've been busy in the shop on another little project involving that ancient bog oak these last couple days
Not razor related though.

A lot harder to do than they look, but it's coming along..
That stuff looks interesting, MikeB52!
An ancient Bog Oak smoking pipe? Hell-yeah!
Evidently, it's called morta in the pipe world and is said to make a good pipe due to the insulating qualities of the petrified wood. I really like turning this stuff, harder than most wood and takes the cutting tools nicely.
Jimmy posted a link to a pipe made with it, on the brush thread I did, and I got interested. ;)
Considering the spookiness of how old it is, makes a great smoking pipe I think as well..
I think tobacco pipes are really cool. There are so many shapes and woods. I'm not sure I would ever smoke one, but a shelf full of them in the man cave would look very cool.
Morta, my new word for the day!:tu
