It mostly comes from the pattern of a vintage french razor, found in the book of M. Jardella, originally in silver scales.
Adapted it a little, draw it on paper till it fits correctly. :)

However, it's more difficult to make a scrimshaw on bone, because it's more porous :shrug:
Oh those are beautiful! Okay thank you for the tip. I think I'll head to the library and look into books on art designs, vintage and older and see what I can find. Celtic knots and old sailors tattoos... see what I can piece together.
Yeah bone.. porous. Maybe need to sand it very smooth...
I've got broken ivory scales, cut them for a shorty and scrimshaw...? Hmmm
