Looks like the potential of a cool beer bottle opener.:beer1:

engine46 - I think that the blade is very damaged, and it makes no sense to restore it.
I'll try to post some of the WIP pics as I go along on this one, the scales and the spine are in decent condition, the blade will be used as a template/guide to make a new blade.
Exactly the reason for my comment!
Yep. Because some blades are shaped different like on the Jaques Lecoultre razor's. I posted awhile back on a few I have that not all blades will interchange so I'm sure you could use an old blade from some other razor or find the right material to make a new blade. I think you can do it! I'll be watching for some results in the future.
Picked up some 1/8" O1 last night, its a bit thick, but was the thinnest I could find. Going to take the torch to the old one this weekend and see how stuck in there it is.
Also, thanks to Richard for the pointers/advice for this project.:beer1:
All I want to know is how in the Sam Hill does a razor get to looking like that in the first place? I guess if you were using it to strike against chert for a spark to start a fire in a survival situation maybe, but who would... Way hey hate a minute, did that razor used to belong to my brother?
