There's a lot of things I don't get, and most hit me in the face everyday..... Then I just ask my teacher wife, cause shes smarter than smart.
The scales are amazing Shaun...... Crazy amazing.
Not sure I can put a King Cutter in them. Dang, I was really hoping this Tally Ho would go....... I may have them for a while before I find an appropriate blade.
Thanks.
You can put that blade in and then when you find a better one use that. Or you can find an amazing NOS Henckels 17 carbon steel and use that in the diagonal cut scales. Need a link?
Yup, lol. Already went through all the 17s on ebay. They all seem to be Friodurs.
17 no Sir, them scales deserve a 14!
I cannot honestly say if I have ever seen a carbon-steel 17?
14's in carbon are not nearly as common as the Friodurs what with all of them coming out of Japan.
Anyhow, don't sell the Friodurs short! Great razors!
Would be neat to get a Filarmonica 14 out of their janky scales, for certain.
Post 5958 Tom. There are two Henckels in bone scales both carbon steel, one 14 and one 17

Just starting a wheat sheaf for my new 72.
I can appreciate that jig, Shaun!
It is an engravers block. Handy thing, and it weighs about 10 pounds, so it stays still when I am carving.
