I have never done an entire blade with exception of an old Wade and Butcher wedge in between the hone wear once. Turned out pretty good and I am still half-alive! :D

Cool Tom. I've got this W&B wedge that some doofus ran through an electric knife sharpener. The etch will have to go, but then I'm thinking of bluing it. Might look cool. Can't wait to see how yours turns out too Mike.

Yup, the chemical reaction should render the surface completely inert and fine for shave cleanng. I'm doing the tang on the BB with the exception of the symbol as Tom suggested.
Will be working it tomorrow night I hope.
That stuff at LV is the Cassey Suoerblue.
A completely blued blade might look awesome depending on shape. Think the one you have in mind will look sweet Andrew. Maybe a flat black set of scales to accompany that WB bad boy..
I'm hand sanding a strip of ebony in between home projects today.
Trying, yet again, to have a one piece scale work out the way I want..

So far, so good..if I don't break them in half again at the final stages, I may even try some simple carving/engraving again. Been meaning to try those fancy new dremel bits I bought..
Well it was planned as a Chubby two clone, but the old brain box no longer runs in CNC mode:( such is the Ilk of feehand, eyeball woodworkers.
So I came up with this,Seacow bone basecap,Hugh pce of real ivory, thuya burl,24mm tgn grade A knot.

Spent a little time last night and this afternoon trying to rescue a couple razors that have been lying around for a while:

I hate when people that THINK they know what they are doing! Putting one through a knife sharpener is ridiculous. Some people just don't know a damn thing about what is going on when it comes to straight razors. They think that all blades are the same when it comes to sharpening them when they are really wrong!
