Dinnermints, Red Imp.
And it's famous shrinking, warping, and contorting scales.

What will we do..!!![emoji33]
Tune in tomorrow for the sequel. [emoji6]
I have shortened the wedge to extend the life of the Imp scales but that is just a temporary measure. They are junk. Replace them with another red material.
Forgettaboutit! Them imp scales start to shrink, they shall shrink! JMO ;)
I have a very nice Case Red Imp with the same thing happening to the scales. It sucks because it's so common and the embossed image on the scales really completes the look of the razor. The toe of the blade was making contact with the wedge on mine so I used a small file to reduce the wedge material. A temporary fix.
I'm just finishing up this J.R. Torrey. It had black stains all over the place. I didn't want to use sand paper beceuse of the light "old English" etching so I tried hitting it with Emory compound. It responded well with some pressure on the buffs. I like to use a good amount of pressure with emory, but you have to really watch the heat. It came out pretty nice and didn't hurt the etch at all.

I really like the grind on this one. Attachment 254918
The Ludo and Morris versions don't suffer so much as the Case ones.
B52, a project for your laser thing is replicating the logo into some red g-10 scales.
Are you in?;)
Oh, yeah. That is a nice Torrey.
