Haven't heard of that...been in the Autobody business over 40 years...just pull the outside latch..then pull the safety latch..the hood come up. He must not have the hood pin and latch lined up or the nose is swung over...something is out of whack
My bad... It was damaged in closing. Folded just at the end of the hinge mechanisms. Left a nasty crease across the hood. Pontiac had a lot of short run stuff back then.

Thanks...I nevah had one growing up..I had 55-57 chevys,66 ChevelleSS....but no goat.i haven't had a "car" since 1979....just kids and a mortgage,like most of us. Now iam 60 and still act like iam 22....doing burnouts !! Going to take it up to New England Drag Way ( where I spent a lot of time in my youth) this summer to see what I get for times...it's not a drag car...just doing it for old time sakes...lol
Working on a clean-up before new scales on this razor.
Been polishing after scraping the rust off and sanding. Still more polishing to do, but what about the lettering?
Would it be better to use a paint and highlight them or try to clean them out?

Nice one Dieseld, Judge Lummus claimed that these Frederick Reynolds razors were not any good. Having one myself I can tell you they are fantastic shavers.
