I'm thinking i'm going to have to put some lead inside my wedge to help counter the blades weight. Washers are kinda getting on my nerves today, so looks like a time out till later.
Lead weights a third more than brass and nickel of the same size with nickel a slight edge over brass. ;)
Finished up these scales tonight. I could not be more happy! The finish is slightly less than perfect, a few dents here and there. I learned a lot, and will no doubt do a lot better with the next set. This wood is simply stunning, the pictures are on my phone and do them no justice. I'll have to pull out the light box for a proper job. Thanks for looking, only 9 more sets to do!Attachment 196034Attachment 196035Attachment 196036
Hey prodigy, what wood are you using? They look fantastic.
Those scales look awesome! I'd put those on one of my own razors.
One day..... I hope to make my own scales. GREAT JOB!
