    The pins are brass. Quite honestly I'm not sure of the collar material since I used what came off it. Feels (and were rusted) like steel, but not sure of the exact makeup. Maybe someone else knows

    I figured that you had managed to salvage the washers/collars, was that the look you were going for or just what you had on hand. Lead would have been to soft for use in that capacity and besides had they been, they would have been destroyed in the removal process.

    Yeah the goal was to reuse everything if I could. New scales and hardware would look spiffy but I'm happy it all was salvageable. I think it gives a nice age to it. However I could to a better job at cleaning the hardware up

    Good ups on the brass sleeving. I have to do it on every razor that's ore 1890. Not sure if its the method they used to punch the hole or the pin wears the steel over time. The whole razor looks amazing.

    They used to punch them thru while hot & hole size was "variable".

    You don't need to bush them for accurate centre but it can save them sliding back & forward in the scales.
    You will also notice old razors have a large gap between toe & wedge .
