Thank you for the reply ! I really want to take a shot at bone scales but really didn't have a clue on prepping the bone.

Give it a shot! If you can get hold of some bone and have a few simple tools there's nothing holding you back! Just takes time and practice as with everything straight razor

Very nice work! I have just gotten interested in straight razors and all of that, was looking for something related to bone, as perhaps I would blend my old hobby with the new one. been carving bone for about 5 years now
though my work isn't straight razor related as of yet.
