Stacked washers are fairly common. Keeps them from deforming as pinned. Brass stacks on old Sheffields, silver on German razors.
I even have an old carved bone razor which has triple stacks. Saved all 12 of them as I reassembled it.
I constantly am finding one which fits good under another.

Just a bit more sanding to be done, will polish all but both sides of the blade, those I'll try for a satin or low luster finish, for name sake. Then see what to do for shoes.

Yeah, Bill sent me a pm & I looked up some info on it since I have a Harley blade (one of three) that Jamie sent me awhile back for helping him on the duck hunt. That is a different one & I love it Bill. Wow, a frame back on top of that!!!!! I hope you got it for a steal!

As I was digging around for my Harley blade I found a Wosty I-XL that needs surgery! It has a crack about 7/16" from the toe & a chip at the heel which isn't a problem at all. It should make a great shorty!!!!
