Silver inlay. The scales were rounded, so the inlay is curved, not flat!

You won't go wrong. If you have a way to polish one, it would even be of more benefit!

My other one would have required an electric palm sander which I don't have, some other things & a lot of work. Outback did me right so I will return the favor.

Wire brush is futile...
Heres my setup
1. Large grinder/buffer, 50grt.

2. 6" air grinder 50grt

3. DA sander 80,220,400,600 grt.

4. Change out large 50grt disc for buffing pad and buff with compounds, then with various metal polishes, ending with a hand rubbing of flitz or maas. Then ice your arm and shoulder.
