I was wondering, the spine wear is as wonky as the edge was, but with that crazy wear do you think it will ever smile again? The spine has a nice curve but with the crazy wear I was wondering if you think you can get her to smile or is that crazy gymnastics?

Hey y'all, been some time since anybody has done any mangled, miss handled, cracked, or crazy blades, here.
Sooo, I got this 6/8 Antoni Tadross, for next to nothing, at the flea market this year. The toe has been attacked by the mighty, electric knife gator/sharpener. (Found on random kitchen counters, across the country).
As well as the missing pieces from the toe, there is a 1/4" crack, 3/4" back from the toe, ( Amputation required)and a fix, of their piss poor attempt at reshaping the heal. A shorty it will be, but alive, and shaving again. :medvl:

I've got one of these razors. I like the way it shaves. Nice hollow blade too. I'll be watching to see how your going to fix that loooong heal.Guessing a smiling shorty so the toe matches the heal?

That's the plan. Getting the heal to look right again, is the fun part. But that's what its all about, here in the butchered blade....New life.!! :y From blades, fallen.

Sure qualifies as a butchered blade Mike.
Look forward to seeing what you do with it..

I've amputated the toe and smoothed the sharp edges, reshaped the heal and thinned the stabilizers, and contoured the edge to match the spine. Gave it a cleaning with Maas n a rag.

I'm thinking a set of busted Bakelite's, will be used for this one.

Ahhhaa I knew you would not take long to take care of this project. I wish I worked at your pace. Loookin Goood

Yessir Mike, nice work on the toe.
Blade looks great.
Saved all the etch, or pretty much..

Nice save Mike. I see what you did to the stabilizer. Got to remember that one. Bet that took a bit of work to grind out that thick steal by the tang.

As always Mike, some amazing work my friend :tu
