Nothing fancy, saturated solution of alum salt on distilled water.
Ergh, I forgot quotes. That was directly from the instructions and they mentioned the oven. I am very aware of a microwaves limitations, I usually will just eat leftovers cold instead of dealing with them. I'm just slightly annoyed my storage solution for the mold didn't pan out. Thinking of doing a double boiler over low heat with the mold, but I'm going to cut it in half so I have separate molds for my two scale styles and hopefully be able to remove them from the photo box without damaging them. This way I can still use it for storage, but remove them for heating and casting the resin.
Speaking of clunky, This ones almost ripe for a do over. Was my very first blade up restore and by my eye today, looks ungainly and is twice the weight of my other blades.

I think I can replace the tricetras with something I can burn right into the blackthorn with the laser, fill in those symbols with 24k and thin everything by half and rebuild it.
Basically keep it the same, but more refined.
Hi, people. Today the guy who cut xiloteque samples told me there are some new blocks if i want them. Anybody is interested?
I do not know what kind of wood these samples are yet, but probably there is some redwood and brazilian walnut (the most common). These samples were primarily intended for a xilotheque, and have approx. 250X50X50 mm.
I'd be down for a few of each Matheus.
:tu
Never tried redwood and always love walnut..
