I run walnut, as well as corn or ceramic media in mine. Depending on the project and desired result.
Load and go. Just put it someplace solid and quiet. Let er go a few days and work on other things..
Cheers.
I put mine inside of a trash bag. The media tends fill entire rooms with fine dust. Learned the hard way when half my basement was covered in a fine layer of walnut media dust...

Thanks guys, I am thinking just use it to take off the rust and discoloration of a few older blades I have.
Appreciate the info on the trash bag prodigy, you're a life saver something is telling me
There's walnut with dry polish which is red colored and regular. Either way it spews dust, unless you have a completely closed lid. Mine has a vented lid.

I have corn cob and walnut for mine. I have tried adding rubbing compound and polish to walnut shell to see if it would cut fast, it did not seem to make any difference. In the thread about using the tumbler someone seemed to really like adding the rubbing compound. There is a ton of different media available from Cadwell's and other places. I will eventually get to doing some experiments, however I like what the walnut does, I just wish it could be faster.
Looking at this as my order, any comments or opinions?
