A damn good thread takes the shame out of Necroposting!!!

Okay I'm sorry I had to do it!
The Butchered Blade was one of the greatest threads of all time! IMHO

So I think there are some broken blades still out there.. I'm not sure who got them and if they were worked on.. would love to see the results if so.
Tom did I send you that NOS Herder for the Herdersori?
So I've got some more broken blades to send out if anyone is bored.. free, simply want to see something cool made..
My phone will not upload pics so I'll need to wait until I get home.
I have 4 Herders that will need to be taken down to around 4/8" width.
One Herder that will make a shorty. All NOS but were chipped/broken in factory.
Also a Wosty Ebro with a fair amount of hone wear that needs scales and restore.
That's all for now but I'll see what else I have for the Butchered Blade.
Sorry I don't have my woods with me yet.
Let's see if we can get this thread and it's wonderful mission underway again!

Sounds great mike. Nice to offer such a thing. I have cut a blade down once and made a shorty but it just never gets used anymore. It was great for my beginning of learning to shave. Ive also ground them down to the point where i made a extra hollow into a half hollow 2/8 blade, just because i wanted a 2/8. Waste of time but what the hell.

I love using exotic woods to makes scales like Outback does. He has helped me to learn to do this pretty well. I dont think i would enjoy grinding a blade thin or cutting on off for a shorty. So im not asking for anything. Just wanted to let you know i do enjoy this hobby and that you do sound like a brother who loves the wood too.

Thank you for coming back to us. You sound like a person that i will really enjoy having with us. As i said before "my long lost brother".

Now back to your sceduled programming.
    It's just Sharpening, right?

‘Twas or twis? An epic thread indeed Mike. Some pretty extreme restorations completed in these hundreds of pages of thread..
Only regret I have personally is I didn’t think ahead to subsequent searches back to some of the specific cool things we attempted, so the titles of posts weren’t really utilized efficiently.
Therefore it’s page by page searches for specific posts, as opposed to title searches that would have proven quicker..
So going forward I think of that when I title posts, or replies to posts..

Now, to make a herder shorty in time for Movember!

I see that you have an Elite Escher displayed in the pic to punctuate the fact that you are too good for anything other than NOS...
