Been awhile since anyone has visited here, so.... I'll brake the silence.
A Wosty IXL, all chipped up, with a small crack near the toe. Was 7/8ths, we'll see once finished.

Are you taking that Wosty on as a challenge?
Looks like a big smilier when it finished, depending on where the crack is. It might be a short smilier.
Nope, just something to do.
Nice necropost Mike!
Forgot how big this thread got. Nice blade to add to the butcher shop for sure.
Look forward to seeing the results. Also look forward to contributing to this thread again myself.
In the fall I hope.

I've always kept it in my mind, Mike. Got a few to play with, and was bored of looking at this one. Wosties are my favorite, eh.! :beer1:

Remarkable progress.
Heel reshaped.
Stabilizers thinned, and shaped.
Edge ground to contour.

Some hi grit sand paper to blend the work on the stabilizers, and to remove some of the lite pitting and staining from the blade faces.
A good rub with steel wool and 3M, and a good polishing with Flitz.
Pics of the finished blade will be after its set in a new set of shoes.
I've decided on wood scales, made of Coyote Wood.
AKA...Nicaraguan/Guatamalan Rosewood.
