Well, take your time, Mike. I went through my pile of scales and, aside from shortening these old FBU scales or one of several big bakelite sets I have, nothing quite fit this blade except this set. Problem is the curve of the scales has to be right to accommodate the blade width. Most I have are are simply too wide, too narrow, or the wrong curvature/pin spacing.. These are from an old W&B wedge which a member here reproduced several years ago. As he showed his remarkable job, I asked for the old scales in a jesting manner. :D
He actually sent them to me....from Russia, I think! I have not seen him around since then, and have forgotten his forum name. I hope I can somehow remember.
So, since I MUST finish and use them, I think with the proper wedge, they should fit just great.
I fixed 3 huge bug bites a long while back, but need to work on delamination on the tips and backsides.
Gonna take a week or two!
