It may actually go quicker than I thought. The epoxy I had applied seems to be adequate without a second application.
I am trying thin CA on the delamination as I think it will run into the voids better than epoxy. We shall see.

OH! Never any issues with aluminum to other metals, materials. I think a certain neglectful situation with wrong environment causes that. SO. How is the Artist coming?Quote:

I have Dremel-drumed and hand sanded a bit. Keep in mind I had slathered the insides with epoxy, yet sanded most off, except what was in the voids and such. The thin Loctite runs in fast and thin in the delamination. Filled the pin-holes as well, any suspected cracks, seen or unseen from the top. Will hand sand this all down soon. These scales have a nice 'set' for a thick tang as test-fitted. Perhaps I can keep up?

I've used CA on some delamination on the insides thanks to your tip and it pulled the flap back down nicely.
Working on a new brass wedge, slowly as it conducts the heat like mad off the belt sander.
Retouched the scale repairs with 100 grit and then buffed, much happier with the result, although I can still see the transition.

Slow going. But relaxing.
A vicious rumor has Mike away from the workshop next week, so I figure I had better get a move on.
Scales are coming along good. Some Sharpie Magnum shows me little areas where I may sand more.
Meanwhile, I am making a wedge as well............In my own lazy way! :D
