Thanked: 4830Once you put chromium oxide on a porous surface it will always have some amount of CrOx on it, there is no way to really clean it. However you need to keep it from getting dust and contaminants on it. There are a few ways, I wrap mine in paper, you could keep it in a cupboard, or make a fancy case for it.
