    Currently all are either bagged or wrapped until I can create a workshop space for them.

    But first I need to test each file, then create a set for myself at both homes.
    The work is not done. Far from it. Most of the files have now been cleaned up, but not all of them, and the obviously poor files have been separated out.

    Then, someday.... I have to start on the hand planes, and the brace and bits, then the drill bits, then the cold chisels..etc.

    Now you need to think of a project that requires lots of filing! {And not the paperwork type.}

    I have extra workshop space here if you need some place to put them.

    Really???
    It don’t know the last time I had extra space. Typically I’m trying to figure out how to squeeze in one more tote.

    In post #26, top pic, those are more of the autobody files.
    Pay attention to the bottom file. The teeth are at a different angle and , if you can enlarge the pic you will see that the teeth are very different and much more aggressive.

    Tom (Learner), any ideas?
    Lord Randal, I have never come across a file like the bottom one. I couldn't enlarge it but it looks like they have s bit of saw tooth cut. I am guessing it 'might have been used
    for fast, roughing out of lead filling, then on to a less aggressive file. I still use lead quite often. You do indeed have world of files to choose from. You have a rare and valuable friend
    in the Dr. and his family.

    Hey Tim,

    You forget, I have been inside your garage/workshop. You do not have room for anything!
    If you did find a cubbyhole to stash them into you would not be able to remember which one of several hundred cubbyholes you put them into!
    Your more of an accumulator than I am!
