I do know how to peen traditional pins, I was looking for the Dovo pins because I have a few modern production German razors I'm cleaning up where I've only had to drill out the pivot end so want the pins to match each end of the razor. I've tried pinning with some nickel silver rod I have but it doesn't look the same and if I can help it I don't want to bother drilling out the wedge ends just to make everything look even. Another difference is that the cup washer they use seems noticeably smaller in height and width than the ones I buy.
