    Putting a Straight WaKamisori style handle on a "Folding" style razor isn't anything new, you are correct in balance and flow when stropping..

    The pivot point sizing and fit are critical to a smooth flow and rotation while stropping regardless of the type of scales you design..

    The balance of any tool it to the point at which you use it, for a SR it is to the tang, everything about the SR comes down to having control at the tang, Shaving Stropping and Honing are tweaked with subtle adjustments at the corners of the tang.

    I don't see how the abrupt change between the handle and tang is conducive to a smooth rotation nor can it allow for your finger to control the corners of the tang.. It is however your razor, so it is your choice..

    Keep in mind everyone here is trying to actually help you, it isn't that we are know it all's it is that we have made many of the same mistakes already
