Sorry...hope that this is not getting tiresome...

Someone mentioned buffing on the Dremel drill stand. Does this work well?
Is this a good accessory to invest in along with the flexi connection?

    Thanks again!

The flexshaft is a must have. I don't have the
    drill press...yet. I have a pretty steady
hand with drilling so I've been pretty lucky
without it, but if you're drilling your own
scales you may want to buy one.

A narrow brush together with some Autosol works for me, just don't run the Dremel to fast.

3M bristle rotary wheels, you can get them from Rio Grande.

You can also get'em from smallparts but they have brutal customer service. When I placed an order for work, they sent me a wrong part. Called their customer service twice. Both time they promised to send me a replacement. It's been 2 months and I still don't have the right parts to finish an R&D project.
For the jimps, I just use a regular wire brush wheel and I do them first.

Apparently Rio Grande sells only to jewelers.

I use a black and decker now as i burnt out my old dremel, as well as an old 30v dc rotary tool I once had. Ive used mine for porting and polishing 2 stroke engines, making knifes (fastest was to do most of the file work), driving a home built box lathe for making pens, using as a router (bought a base), and now i find it indispensable for restoring razors can do in an hour what would take many many hours to do by hand.

They sell to those in business. I don't sell or make jewelry (at least not yet) I called they asked, "how are you associated with the jewelry business?" I said, "I buy, restore and sell straight razors". And they said, "oh, OK."
