Thanked: 3I don't know if this is what Doc was referring to when he mentions a stacking method, but I had an idea maybe someone could try out. What if you put a piece of the rod that we use for pins through a few different razors and used rubber bands or something to keep them seperated? In my head it seems like that would keep them apart fairly well.

Anything in the pivot (pin) or around the razor (rubber bands) will prevent that area from being cleaned evenly with the rest of the blade King. Don't know about you, but I want the whole thing cleaned using this method.

Thanked: 8I went to Harbor Freight this morning and they had a vibrating tumbler for about $60, this makes Midway even more impressive.
But I did buy some weird looking plastic pyramids that are a media for the vibrating tumbler.
I just loaded one with it and they don't flow as smoothly since they are so large but they are supposed to get rid of rust off of bolts without destroying the threads so I thought I'd give it a try.
Any one else familiar with this stuff?

And I must warn people this stuff is noisy, I can hear it in the basement from the garage but not in our bedroom which is over the garage.
Just so you guys know.
I'll let everyone know how it works this evening.

I am just about giving up on trying to find a tumbler in person. I literally called about two dozen gun shops in Rhode Island and a bunch more hardware stores. Not 1 store had one. One said they usually carry them but were out and they cost $85 anyway. I guess adding the $20 shipping onto midway isn't so bad. lol

I tell ya being the gun nut that I am and a gunsmith I think I have ordered countless $$$$$ from 3 sources 1. Midway USA 2. Brownell's 3. Natchez shooters supply....
Midway has always been the best service and best price around...

HarborFreight has this tumbler listed in their catalog for $39.99:
http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=93252
Its a Chicago Electric Power Tools 5 lb Metal Vibrator Tumbler.
Typically, prices at their stores are higher than the catalog prices, but if you bringin their internet ad, they will honor it.
I have a HarborFreight store about six miles from my house.
I might just check it out...

Gator, I went to a Harbor Freight store. No go. They had a replacement bowl for the tumbler, but no tumbler. They said they never carry it and that their normal stock is totally different than the internet catalog.
On another note I placed an order with Midway. Should be testing it all out by next Weds.
