Uhh... I had to edit my answer, the other possibility that comes to mind is that laminate beam stuff.... not sure of the trade names, but it's used as a replacement for fir joists/beams in construction.

Even better looking scales. Dennis tryin out ever exotic stuff...
I wonder if jigged bone would be structurally sound for scales. Knives have a liner or thickness for support..

The razor is nice and all
but I can't believe no one has made a sarcastic remark about the creepy eye that is reflected in the blade. It has me concerned and a little frigthened...

Beautiful razor Dennis, and the scales are wonderful...I never would have thought OSB board could even be polished...
