Use a cheap drill chuck to start your pins...Great for holding onto other round things as well
The easy road is rarely rewarding.

Thanked: 2284i found the nickel rod from Texas Knife makers supply to be a little oversized (had to file it down to go into the washers) any body else had this problem?Burls, Girls, and all things that Swirl....

Modine suggested a Jeweler's Anvil for pin work.
I got one (14USD) and it is great for pin work.
