I know I'd trace anything I had that other guys wanted. Let's say for instance Denmason would trace that 10/8 monster he has, if Butch was willing to make a run of them. I for one would gladly double up my shipping cost. that should allow for things like thumb notches, decorative spines, jimps etc.
the grinding of the bevel/hollow and the heat treat are the parts i'm not comfortable with. I think if I had steel in hand I'd be comfortable taking it into the shop and doing some shaping.
How much are we talking $$ wise? You know, you may find you do more business with this than you do with kitchen knives if the price point works out right! I for one am not really a collector, I go for the blade itself. if I could get new blades the way I want I'd never buy old ones.
