Nice job ! if you want to let it go I can double your money ....... Kidding aside, enjoy the razor, you earned it.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I was thinking the same thing when he was wanting to give up on repairing it and everyone was was pushing him to repair it.

I am flat enjoying my Friodurs, wishing I had one of those larger bladed ones to try out.

Let us know how it shaves.

    Excellente !!

You mention cosmetic polishing. It may be obvious but it's a whole lot easier & safer to do before its shave ready.

Can I ask a question of the guys that have power tools. why breadknife when you could take it to your belt grinder, hit it real quick and it'd be done? then set bevel and sharpen. thankfully I don't have any with big chips, but it seems that would work a bit faster.

I have to tell you, when I first saw the pics of the razor with that chip in it, it made me cringe. That looked hard to fix. But you really made lemonade with that lemon! Great save, looks great.

It is extremely easy to overheat the edge of a razor when using power equipment (even dremels).

On the other hand, hand tools work just fine for the edge, as it is so very thin...
