Joe - It's all done by Dremel with PSA micofinishing discs. I went about 20 minutes with the 60 to try and get all the pitting out. Then about4-5 minutes each with 40, 30, 15. Here's a shot after doing some buffing after the 15. You can still see the fine lines from the last sanding (very faint), but it's close to a mirror "type" finish. That's a smudge from the cloth I wiped it down with in the middle. This has been a very educational and enjoyable experience. I hope some of you enjoyed this as much as I have. Bill; what can I say? Thanks for your generosity and expert advise.

I am removing all material that Lerch may find offensive or construe as a personal attack... bye bye, now...

This came about at the perfect time for me. I have a couple of eBay specials that I'm going to be learning on. I'll make good use of some of the tips learned here. Thanks for all the great feedback on your success Larry!

Congratulations on what turned out to be a fine piece!

    Thanks Larry--and Bill,
I have printed out this entire thread and expect I'll be referring back to it on a regular basis.

Careful Bill, if you keep this up there will be little need for your workshop seminar series . You've already answered many of my most pressing questions.

Excellent job, Korndog! If that's your first, I'd say you've got a great future in restoration. Give yourself a pat on the back for me.

Larry, that's a GREAT job you did on this razor, now, that's a real mirror finish, unlike the DOVO's mirror which looks like a satin to me

Wow. That is some job you did!!!!!! I am really impressed. I would have passed on the razor because I wouldn't have thought you could get it to that level. Great job!
