It's also important to remember the washers you will need. If you use Butch's way and extend the barrel all the way you will need to find washers to fit the barrel. If you use the tang/flush way you will need to find washers to fit the 2-56 screws. I've even seen it done with the barrel sticking out the pivot just enough to fit a barrel sized washer on each side.

Thanked: 1it wouls prob be easier to flush it to the tang and find washers to fit the 2 56 screws from microfasteners.com as I also work with vintage razors only. do you know of a place to find them Max?

Thanked: 1I found out that Micro Fasteners - Hobbyists Source - Locknuts - Washers - Machine Screws - Fasteners - Rivets - Wood Screws does have the washers
A #2 washer would fit a 2-56 button head torx screw. The part number is FW02
for steel zinc and FWS02 for stainless steel. for anyone else thats looking. Thanks Again!

Thanked: 1What type of bit would I use to drill the 1/8th hole in the pivot on the razor? Would titanium work on that kind of carbon steel?
