Thanks for reply,I really need Bill's CD but waiting on his update. Will try your suggestions,having problems getting supplies of grit in various sizes all local stockists supply a pack with sheets marked fine,med and course with no grit sizes..have a dremel with wire brushes etc may try that as well....been trawling a number of your posts and your "sanding tool" with paperclip holder looks great,but cannot quite figure out how to make one for myself...been also on the lookout for PSA sanding discs without success.

Bills CD will be a major help,as I have a couple of razors that need repinning and proper cleaning/sanding and I am very averse to starting anything without instructions as you have probably gathered I am not the most DIY experienced person.
