I just got my new 5lb tumbler. I have never used one. I have read the post in the wiki about using a vibrating was very informative about the different medias and adding polish to the media . But I was wondering is any of you guys had any time tested methods or receipys for the tumbler you might like to share. Any do or donts so to speak
    Thanks Tony

-Don't turn off tumbler and leave the razors in there. Many polishing compounds may have a suspension that will aid in rust....the stuff you are trying to clean up.

-don't think in terms of minutes or hours when tumbling, think of 1/2 days.

-leave tumbler on floor (they can walk off a workbench) and don't hamper the air flow or you will shorten the life of tumbler.

-heavy wedges and light singing hollows don't mix too well sometimes...

    -a little pre-cleaning helps...

    Good luck!
