I should have it up tomorrow, I just learned that I needed to change from .Mov to something else before I could work on editing at work

Even though, I wasn't there, and haven't seen the video, I'm guessing that repair was fairly easy for Glen. When I first read the OP, I was expecting irreversible damage... Like I got when I first thought I wanted to do some restoration

Yeah, I'm no fan of dremels either

Glen did a great job on your blade. Personally I like a slight smile to my blades anyways...that chip just enabled a pro-honer to make your blade "happy". A lot of folks would shudder when they see us do repairs on blades as you did. Best part of this whole story is that you learned something without destroying a blade as some of us have.

Yes to the towel trick. I recently blew up a blade I was just finishing. I fold the towel and make a thick pad and push the blade a bit into the towel. The padding seems to absorb the vibrations from the dremel. I hand rub and only use the dremel for final polishing with a couple different grits of emery paste.

Very interesting to watch, I recently removed a ship in another manner, but think this way much better and easier
We need more of these videos so that we can learn from the professionals.
What stone was used to ship out of them. (My english is not so good and it went a little too fast for me on video)
