    Very good work. I am in the middle of a couple of restores, but I'm not sure if I'd have the patience to get it to a mirror like that.

    Looking good. I would just check the width of the pivot fingers between your fingers, it looks like it might be just a tad wide, although it might just be the angle the picture is taken.

    BTW nice work on the blade, mirror finish is great.

    Jeff, for me it is what feels comfortable to hold. As you shave the scales will sit between your fingers. If it feels comfortable, then it should be fine. My personal preference is probably on the thinner side.

    For example this is a set I am currently making. I normally find that the pivot end is normally narrower than the wedge end.

    one way to measure is to make the pivot side width of the scales only slightly wider than the width of the tang at the pivot hole.
