Really nice work Joe! And good pictures to boot. Awesome!
How did you restore the blade on this one? Pray do tell.
I am especially curious about the blade face to spine transition. The radius is tight and not much wiggle room for sanding or getting at it with wheels or belts.
I have a W&B Feather Edge to restore, similar grind. I left it until I can figure out how to do it without risking trashing the blade or not being able to get a good finish.
Now I am going to need my 1" belt sander just to keep up with you.

WOW, that looks fantastic!
Great. You guys start dropping names (Tru-oil, T-88) and tell us to get them at woodcrafters, JUST after I made a treck out there last weekend...
(sigh)
Looks like I'll be visiting them, again, THIS weekend!

I'm making some now for an 8/8 Friodur square point and an 8/8 (mint) Gebr. Weyersberg I got in today. The Friodur's gonna have kauri, and the Weyersberg's gonna have heart rimu. Also making some for that 7/8 Frederick Reynolds 1/4 hollow out of pink ivory. The Friodur and Weyersberg are going to have similar scales, a square butt, rather than the oblique.

These blades are actually 1/4 hollows or thereabouts, with a 1/2" 'scoop' taken out of the middle of the blade. If you get some 9/16"rbd, you should be able to do it, no sweat.

I like that one. That is one beautiful razor and the pics are awesome, beautiful scales to, and the blade is unusual and and cool looking on its own.
