I think the purple heart looks very unique in woodworking projects.
I bleve that razor scales should be no different. Don't fret on getting the pins straight. just keep the two halves together find the center of there location use a drill press if you got one and also a backing block so you don't blow out the bottom scale when you come through. go slow take your time and they'll come out perfect.
