Yeah, I got an offer for some custom ivory scales and given I am uneducated about ivory I declined. Not sure if ivory is ivory or if some is better than others. Not sure if some is illegal and others not.

I'm no expert on repairs, but if it means a lot to you I would just send it out to give yourself peace of mind.
It's just corn syrup... Warm, blood flavored, corn syrup ...

You need to get to the big guns for real material.Like 30 plus
hmmm I have to ask about chips and stuff. He got them from his mother in law. Bought in Alaska from Eskimos years ago. Pre Micro chip days I am sure. The one I saw was white as the one in your picture. Bigger diameter and cut on both ends. Maybe 12 or 14 inches long. The one for sale is big enough to get some pistol grips out of and then some. It may be cut also I just don't know.

I am sure I have one in my head. Put there by aliens when I was a kid. I always hear these voices.

Both walrus and ivory are such nice materials, to bad the animals have to suffer.
Could you give us some more pics of it, I would love to see all of it.

I will get pics of what I can. The one made into a cribbage board sits on a table near his dinning room. I can't remember where the other is but I am sure it's just laying around his place. It may prove my memory bigger then real life.
This is about ]<------------6"----------->[ right ?
