Nah! Never give up! Set it aside and wait. Something good will come. I am guilty of wanting results. As I let a somewhat failed restoration sit and think about it, a new way forward always comes!

If you give up on it its gone. If you try and fail , what the heck you're no worse off. You're not a loser till you quit.

Possibly, but the end result would be shortening the scales for a shorter blade. Nothing to lose!

    Default Ivory Repair?

Once receive an old razor the had a similar chip. One of the previous owners had "wired " the piece back in place. Looked like very thin copper wire.

Ok. I will take the scales, give them a good home . Rub them in your face as much as possible! Or Not!

With some CA glues you can control and prolong the setting time with linseed oil I think it was.
Adding a tiny amount of filler might also help, in your case finely powdered ivory or anything ivory white.
After I had glued it in place I would drill 2 very tiny holes, 0,3-0,5 mm holes from the tip part and down on each side of the pivot pin.
Take a wire matching the holes, slightly touch it on some emery paper to get a grippy surface, dip them in CA and insert,
if you make them a tiny bit shorter than the holes and push them down with another piece of wire, they will be hidden.
Add a little CA with ivory powder on the end and polish.

Now you got me feeling like I'm working in a jewellery shop again, haha!

    Edit; stupid spelling....
