Thanked: 480What IS that madness you ask? well, its a 3 jaw chuck, with a jacobs chuck stuck in it to give it some distance between the head and the work. In the Jacobs is a grindwheel adaptor. Not really designed for stones, more for the flap wheels of an angle grinder, but at the low rpms its spinning, I figure its safe enough.
Oh, and I doube checked. Its a 3inch pully on the motor, and the grinding was done on the first rung, which is close to 6 inches. Grindstone itself about 5.5

Water? We don't need no stinking water! Man! I have an old Southbend. The fact that an infinitely variable chucked motor at my disposal, has been limited. Gonna have to drag up a stool! Thanks!
"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

Thanked: 480As soon as you want to come on over for a visit, and set up some sort of water recirculating system, be my guest!
