I'm curious how the thread started out about how vendors place listings on their sites and turned into people being chastised for not being patient for production runs of the manufacturers?
I realize thread topics change, but that's like telling someone they got mugged because it looked like they could afford it. Yes, that only vaguely makes sense, and yes that's the point. The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.

Pretty simple. Any time sellers are spoken of in the negative, it emboldens others to join in with their personal examples, perceived or not. Next thing ya know...... A silly thread, in retrospect. Sold out is sold out. I am with Harold . Close it out.
"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

Thanked: 1263The negative word always travels fast, hence why it's important and not always easy to try and please everyone. It isn't easy especially on an internet site as it is the storefront. In the actual world you can walk into a brick and mortar take a quick glance to see the stock, and decide whether you want to shop or walk out.
Not much different when browsing on the web really...I don't want to waste my time clicking away to see that everything is out of stock...you could put up a "sold out" monicker for people to see. It's just as though if I walked into an actual shop...if it's not displayed, chances are I'm not gonna bother asking if you have it and just move on to the next place.
Pretty simple business practice...if you make it easy for people and a nice experience...they'll return...if not then you've lost em to the next guy.
