You bet it did! I'm heading off to the next antique fair in my neighbourhood in May - it happens to be the last place I saw a fatboy. There's a lot of ignorance in the market here and you never know what might turn up - the last time I bought a very good Bengall and a John Heiffor - they're now my two favourite razors.

I've seen the women who go to those Upper Middle Slobovia garage sales...they scare me so much I can't get out of my car.

    Hahahahahaha!....
But seriously you could have missed out on a bottom dial fat boy. I know it's scary but you need to conquer your fears or they will hold you back

I look at it as an investment. Someday it could sell for $1305. Won't we feel stupid if they are going for 10k in 10 years?

In the world of wine there are two groups - wine drinkers and wine collectors. The drinker is motivated by his desire to consume while the collector is motivated by his desire to possess. The drinker drinks and the collector covets. Drinkers can be satisfied by many wines but the collector only by a few. Prices are set accordingly.

I am with Bob on this one, by those standards I am a wine drinker.
If I wouldn't use it I would not own it.

After a few months of asking why XXXX was so expensive, and getting an answer, someting along the lines of "because that what someone else will pay for it" i have ceased to be amazed.
You never know, the buyers grandad/dad etc may have used one exactly the same and (s)he may have had the funds and really wanted it.
