I checked out the site last night, he didn't get it re-plated. He was the one who just won it on E-Bay for $1250.00 and decided to double the price, if someone wanted it for that price, he was fine for that, more money for him to go shopping with, if someone didn't want it, that was fine to, he didn't really want to get rid of it anyway...it really is one of the Holy Grails of DE according to what I read there....

I remember now that I've dealt with him about a razor, we were going back and forth for a best offer price, we couldn't come to an agreement so left it at that...he was a very nice guy, very friendly and helpful, I'm going to check later, think I also bought something from him as well.

Yeah I've heard that too, that he's a well liked eBay seller.
For those of us who don't collect, we can't see the value in it, but for those that do who knows, it could be a steal.
I definitely know many people that don't understand what I spend for SR stuff

Thus one looks crappy. Still wants $2000. I'm curious to see if he gets it.

Wow, not a chance! I'd pay $30.00-$60.00 for it, especially being used and not cleaned, polished, or re-plated. He'll never get that kind of money.....at least I hope not!

For that price the seller should at least clean it.

Hey guys it is a "bottom dial" Fat Boy Razor Archive | The Original Gillette $1.95 Adjustable / "Bottom-Dial" Fatboy and being a little dirty may have little impact on it's value.

I realize it's a bottom dial but one that was pristine recently sold for around $1300. I'm just curious to see if this one sells for the buy it now price of $2000. There is no bid option. We'll see.

Yea, it just depends on how badly a collector wants to own one of the few. Seems the only way the prices on these has been going is up like some brands of straights.

The seller says he will be listing more bottom dials. I am curious to see what happens to the pricing.
