You never know, the buyers grandad/dad etc may have used one exactly the same and (s)he may have had the funds and really wanted it.
You make a great point. I would pay an awful lot to have some of my grandfather's things that were given away when he died. And if that weren't possible something just like would be almost as good.

Means I'd drink the wine and collect the bottles!

Stimpy, why do you think I don't leave my house? They might mistake me for some tall grass and devour me!

They are extremely rare and are the Holy Grail for Gillette collectors of which there are many. I've seen plenty of good condition Toggles go for $600-$700 so I'm not surprised at the price. If it was in NOS condition with the original case it would be $2000+

Actually the same razor, apparently the owners of shifty looking, brassy bottom dialers see the supply of fools is dwindling, I need to see if I can spiff up the rare 1965 middle dial Fatboy and take some shots ..

Apparently, the buyer in auction first joined Badger & Blade, asked for re-plating recommendations, and has relisted the razor for 2X. PT Barnum comes to mind ..

Would be interesting to ask him at B&B if the G F4 that's he's currently selling on E-Bay was in fact re-plated or is it in original condition? Inquiring minds want to know....

Wow, this new listing is gorgeous by comparison. It's worth at least half of what was paid for the last one!

    Wouldn't you all agree?

Not enough time to have sent it out for a replating between the purchase and flip, unless he did it himself, but then why ask for a recommendation?
