I wasn't going to post this one here...but it breaks my heart to see a razor being poorly restored.
'This razor has been striped down fully and inspected for imperfections before going through our grinding and polishing process only when we are happy with the blade did we replace the original scales'

Really, those guys should be sued for raping.

I see no evidence of grinding, just lots of polishing.
I wonder how the temper withstood that much buffing.
If you don't care where you are, you are not lost.

I am sure that they were very careful.

Probably still good enough to put some butter on your toast

Aren't there generally (7) duplicate blades in a 7-day set?

In that set of (4), the blades don't all appear to be the same size.

Could be the photo. Who can say.

Not shameful, just kind of funny.

I enjoy that this guy says that this blade was made in 1842. Not the 1840's, but 1842. I want to list a blade on ebay for 200 bucks and say that I have from a good source that it was made on February 7, 1836 by the second shift at the factory. Maybe just after tea break.

I've seen SRP members do better work by hand. Even when I was making mistakes left and right I don't think I would have put a mirror finish on a blade like that. Makes it look like someone took a nail setter to it with the deep pitting and that finish.

Seller claims scales are good. I sent them a PM a week ago to let them know the scales were rotting and would rust any blade they were put on. No response. Obviously that isn't his problem.
I just hope a new SR enthusiast doesn't come across these and go, "wow! I'll clean those scales up and put them on the DD blade I spent hours cleaning up."
