I can see why he called it a 7-day set. But it's stretching the definition a bit IMO. I probably would have called in a set of four, etched with all seven days of the week.
I can't tell about the blade sizes. It looks like he might have the razors laid out on a surface that isn't perfectly flat, which could account for some of that.

Thanked: 156I know i may get some "love " for this but i just have to get it of my mind
A friend was searching for an Iwasaki BoSo razor for his Iwasaki collection.
He came across this
https://www.ebay.com/itm/EXTREMELY-R...p2047675.l2557
The seller was convinced they were made by Iwasaki/Kamijo...my friend finaly decided to ask me before buying about them...
After carefully reading the description i began to smile.
I told him the sad truth....that there is no way of telling who made those razors without documentation but that for sure Iwasaki san or Kamijo Yukio did not make them...Master Bladesmiths always signed their blades!
BoSo was a brand company not a manufacturer....same as Nichiri...they did not manufacture razors but distributed them.
They had razors made for them by top makers and evan Iwasaki...Yukio Kamijo and Tanifuji manufactured razors for them...but guess what...they all bare the BoSo mark on the face of the tang and the Master Bladesmith's name on the back...
like these for instance.
Scroll down to the BoSo section and see
https://historyrazors.wordpress.com/.../kamijo-yukio/
This is one of mine
Its a Boso Kamijo...sorry for the bad pic it's not yet restored.
Well anyway gentlemen...what i mean to say is be aware what you spend your hard earned cash on....not anything that glitters is gold.
After a lot of research i found leads that link the one in black scales to the Kikuboshi/Takehana factory...
The one in white scales i have no idea what it is but still searching.
Think about it...would a brand store have a razor made by one of the greatest razor makers of the time and have him NOT SIGN IT?....leave no proof of pedigree?...that would only make the sell value of the item decrease.
.. and would a maste rbladesmith not sign a handmade blade?
This was also sold as an Iwasaki recently...
Food for thought...
Why would there be BoSo/Iwasaki razors signed by iwasaki....and BoSo/Iwasaki razors not signed by Iwasaki...

Thanked: 315Man, and it says it has been sold too. I can't afford to collect razors that cost that much, but even if I could I would need to verify something like that, that I was not familiar with.
