Now this is insane!!! Yeah it's probably the widest straight razor I have ever seen but $860.00???? I don't even think I could shave with it. Might be able to chop down a Redwood tree in Cali.......

I've been watching it all week & was waiting to see what it would go for. Cracked scales too!

The price may be a shame, but the blade & seller seem to check out okay. I I appreciate that he is not a traditional shaver, and doesn't presume to know the product ins & outs...

The seller says: It is NOT shave ready. Since the blade is well over 100 years old I cannot guarantee that it will ever be a satisfactory shaver.
Givin the manufacturer, it'll probably shave just fine .

The original paperwork is included and looks in very good condition. Is it worth what they are asking? Who is to say? But a collector looking to complete an all original set might see value in this that you guys are ignoring because its not important to you.

OR.... Look how buffed out the razor is, realize that its been put to a wheel, and that there is a very real possibility that the razor was over heated, and the temper lost, the seller knows this, and is covering his ass. I have seen similar razors sell for retarded amounts of money, but I myself wouldn't bid on one that has been buffed like that and had a "no returns" policy

Yeah & if I had the money to spend on one, I would much rather get a Mastro Livi razor & brush! You're right, he could have overheated it. Maybe not but I still wouldn't pay that much for it. I knew it was going to go for a lot but I didn't think for that much!

Big monies for a big razor!
    Too rich for me......
Would be interesting to shave with though.

I'd have to sew two razor socks together for that beast and the other big blades in my razor chest would have a new boss on the block, but it would be a pleasure to shave with that one. Wouldn't be a pleasure to pay for that beast though haha....that's some serious coin, but for a complete rarity like that, in that condition, what a find, wonder who was fortunate enough to get it...probably have to post twice to do a SOTD with that one!

No Willis, when I first saw it, I sent the link to Phrank. That was earlier in the week.

I think he was sending that post my way.....

No I didn't get that one...I've been having the old Canadian, "Hockey Card" moment lately, "Got it, got it, don't need it, already have one", so aside from the occasional razor that's normally out of my normal comfort zone, my RAD has diminished significantly, at least for me....
